Dear David:<div>Bravo for your work and I hope that you will be able to get the design working in the village you speak of. I am wondering whether you would be able to look at something that is very difficult for you to do to say the least. It is about HIV and AIDS and the real truth about it all.</div>
<div>Several years ago, my friend Elombe Brath, the head of the Patrice Lumumba Coalition wrote of AIDS as first <b><i>Acquired Imperialist Dependency Syndrome</i></b> and then <b><i>Africa Imperialist Dependency Syndrome </i></b>as it was apparent that Africa was being targeted for the use of drugs rather than approaching the real need which was for more potable water, clean food, adequate waste disposal, Mosquito nets and so on. By allowing the populations to be decimated similar to what happened in the US with the Indigenous population here from small pox, the lands of the people and their young in particular can be better colonized and their resources stolen. </div>
<div>In the villages in South Africa where bettter food, water, and sanitation has been provided, the incidence of disease of all kinds including so called HIV AIDS has gone down precipitously and those who were so called infected with the AIDS virus are thriving. If you go to our web sites, <a href="http://www.healaids.com">www.healaids.com</a> as well as <a href="http://www.virusmyth.com">www.virusmyth.com</a> and take the time to view whatever videos are left there as well as to read the background and the work of literally thousands of highly recognized even Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winning persons who risked their lives and reputations to stand up to the pharmaceuticals, governments, Medical and media establishments, and the banks who are making billions on all of this, you will be at least apprised of who we are and that we in the dissident movement are quite serious and have been put to the side to feed the greed of those monopolizing medicine and fiscal dealings throughout the world. </div>
<div> </div><div>It is so much easier to explain the loss of lives, the deterioration of the brains and bodies of the children etc by blaming a made up virus than to address the real causes which is the wars and the taking over of lands with displacement of people with the deterioration of their food and water sources and all the imperialist games that are played to take resources away from the indigenous people and gather them for the powerful to continue their hegemony. </div>
<div><br></div><div>So what can you do about this if you find that you come to agree with us?</div><div><br></div><div>In your case, it is quite difficult as should you raise the issues we raise or even let people know that you are reading about it, you would be dismissed from your position and blacklisted forever regarding any work in the field. I suggest that you not print anything up and delete all browser references to any searches that you do or web sites like ours that you visit. It is dangerous believe me especially in your situation. For me and the others who came out long ago, we are already dealing with the consequences of our positions and in fact, we cannot get to even have an open debate about all of this and instead are vilified as was Mbeki when he simply asked for an open debate by both sides to determine publicly the pros and cons of both groups. The main stream at first agreed to the debates and then withdrew claiming that even to debate us would put some credence into our stance and that would be on the order of encouraging people to listen further and cause more deaths. That isn't science which must be open to debate, that is a religious hegemonical position. </div>
<div><br></div><div>None the less, you will be informed and can find your own way to making the difference even if it is only to press harder to get the potable water to your villages so that they can begin to heal and grow. In fact, we have some very big supporters in Africa working with Villages who have this knowledge and do not publicly speak about it and instead simply press for better water, sanitation, and food which heals their villages.</div>

<br>
My name is David Kulick and I am a Peace Corps volunteer in a small rural village in South Africa. I recently read Alan Weisman's book on the Gaviotas community and was astounded by the seesaw pump. My village, Matimpule, is lacking in most every resource including water access. The municipality provides water from pipes though those fail to work for weeks at a time and people are either forced to use the one well in the village or buy water from carts that sell it at a high premium. The village is quite large - about 6,000 people and putting in multiple pumps that can be easily used would be fantastic. Because of a staggering HIV prevalence rate in the village of almost 40%, young children and old women take on most of the chores and tasks of daily living including fetching water. My wife and I want to encourage people in the village to grow gardens for food access but with water so difficult to obtain during the dry season when the water ceases to run, poses a serious threat to any garden project. If there were multiple water pumps that were easy to use, the possibility of growing would be much higher. I think the seesaw pump if I understand it correctly would be a significant improvement in the community and would provide water while the children could play.<br>

I am wondering if there are any building designs that I could be sent for the pump that was also described in the book. I can do my part to apply for a grant to buy all the necessary parts but if there are specifics on what is needed and how to go about doing it, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not sure if this is the best forum to post this question, so please direct me to the right contact. Thank you.<br>
