Hi,
I'm organizing an internship program for three Siberians who are learning
strawbale building. They are planning to start a nonprofit in southern Siberia
to promote energy-efficient ecological construction.
They have some experience with strawbale design and construction, and are
looking for in-depth training in strawbale and other natural materials and
techniques; training in construction project management; and an introduction to
nonprofit management and development.
One of the interns is a college-level instructor of building design and
engineering. The other two are recent graduates of the college she teaches at,
the Institute for Architecture and Design, in Barnaul, Altai Kray, Russia.
If this program takes place, it will be funded by a grant that will cover all
the interns' transportation, lodging, and meals costs at a modest level. There
will not be funds available to pay instructors or project leaders--what you will
get out of this deal are six willing hands and three eager Russian minds. A
translator will accompany the group if needed.
We are looking at late summer for this trip. The entire trip will last about one
month, and the internship with you could be anywhere from one week to the entire
month, depending on what you can offer.
If you're interested please contact me directly by email or phone.
Thank you,
Alyson
